ABC Wednesday-H For Honeysuckle

ABC Wednesday, my H is for Honeysuckle.
Honeysuckle is the common name,  the name actually is Lonicera ciliosa, we often see the orange type. Lovely narrow mouthed orange trumpet shaped flowers that only hummingbirds are able to access the nectar bounty within. This one is yellow, bright yellow flowers…

Not only are Honeysuckles lovely but they smell Heavenly. The ones we had where I grew up were a lovely pink. However, the yellow ones are lovely.

I love to see honeysuckle in the hedgerows. Unfortunately no hummingbirds here, you are fortunate indeed to have these magical birds.

I love the fragrance of honeysuckle and entertainment the hummingbirds give me as they drink the necter.

I must have seen honey suckle flowers. The Chinese call it GIN YON WA and I am told to take it with others herbs for my bad cough.

Do they grow in Singapore?
