Showy pink flowers, pleasant fragrance, like a powder puff. They are one of my favorite flowers when I was a kid, I always played with the flowers to make fun of my classmates, some of my classmates were afraid of the itch when I used the flowers to tickle them.
One interesting fact about leaves of that plant, like any Calliandra plants, they are closed for night, like butterfly wings, and reopen in the daytime.

nice flower. This looks like the the rain tree. it is planted to provide shade. the leaves close when it is about to rain or in the evening.
