ABC Wednesday-M for musa ornamental

ABC Wednesday  this week letter “M”, my post is about Musa Ornata. M is also for Macro Monday.

The color and lovely shape of the Musa ornamental bananas always catch my eye. SengKang river walk park has more selections of these beauties.

Musa Ornata – also called “Flowering Banana” . This plant has a long spike like stem with upright, yellow-orange flowers, each almost completely enclosed by a beautiful red , pink or purple bract. Their leaves are a vibrant green, paddle shaped, can use for tropical fresh cut flowers arrangements.

The fruit is attractive but tends to be inedible.
Find out more about Musa ornamental by doing Google search.
