The camellias, is a genus of flowering plants in the family Theaceae. They are found in eastern and southern Asia, This genus is famous throughout East Asia; camellias are known as cháhuā (茶花) in Chinese, "tea flower", very popular flowers for home decoration during Chinese New Year period in China,
Unfortunately, until recently, camellias have not been widely introduced into Singapore, I am not sure if it requires a cold treatment in winter for flower quality.
