How big the shui mei grows depends where it is grown. If on the ground without trimming it can grow into a bush and very tall depending on the depth of the soil. Regular trimming one can control its size height and shape. If grown in a pot the size is contained limited by the depth of the pot.
The seed pods are unusual.
